Tika von Mehren

Tika von Mehren is a freelance costume designer and local 705 costumer based in Los Angeles CA. She grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Temple University. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, concentrating in costume design. In 2014, she studied abroad at London College of Fashion. While in Philadelphia, she costume designed the 2014 Philadelphia FringeArts show, Oedipus the Musical. 

In 2015, Tika moved from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Tika designed the feature film, M.F.A, which was directed by Natalia Leite and stared Francesca Eastwood. She also designed Queeroes, three short films produced by 5050by2020 for the digital platform them. Most recently, she designed the short film Pamela & Ivy, written and directed by Leah McKendrick, which premiered on Collider.

Starting in 2017, Tika worked and trained in historical costumes at United American Costume Co. From 2018 to 2019, Tika ran the Women’s Department at United American Costume Co.
